ADA Assessment Services
Hayes Large helps clients to review facilities for compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). As architects, landscape architects and interior designers, we apply accessible design standards and principles for Universal Design every day. We understand the law, its intent, and its underlying regulations. We know when facilities don't comply. And as design professionals, we know how to fix problems and plan for remediation.
Our reports are thorough and easy to understand. We provide user-friendly documentation of barriers using photos and keyed floor plans. You clearly see each problem, its location, and its specific citation to the 2010 ADA Standard that applies. There is no question where the issue is, or why it is a violation.
Our assessments are overseen by one of the leading ADA architects in America, Robert Dale Lynch FAIA AAFS. As a member of the American National Standards Insititue (ANSI) A117 Committee since 1988, Bob helped author the last five editions of the ANSI A117 Standards for Accessible Buildings and Facilities, and is currently working with the AIA to add new standards. He frequently serves as an expert witness on ADA legal compliance. As senior advisor, he oversees all of our assessments, supervising field inspections, reviewing reports, and interpreting regulations.
ADA problems and defined and solved by registered architects. Identifying non-compliant conditions is one thing. Knowing how to best bring a building and site into compliance- practically and economically- is another. As specialist ADA architects, we help owners to make their facilities accessible every day. We are creative, find cost-effective solutions, and provide reliable estimates to help clients budget for remediation.
